Rev. Anthony Jackson Sr.
Pastor, Vessels of Mercy North

"An Apprentice To Christ"
Rev. Anthony Jackson, Sr. serves as Pastor of Vessels Of Mercy North.

Pastor Jackson serves as the servant leader for Vessels of Mercy North located in Southaven, MS. He is quickly becoming God’s mouth piece to the next generation of Christian believers in the North Mississippi area. The Grand Rapids, Michigan native truly has been in the care of the Lord at an early age. He unselfishly remembers his early encounters with men and women of God who were led by the Holy Spirit which placed him in total submission to Jesus Christ!

Prior to being installed as Pastor of VOMN, he served wholeheartedly and with reverence under Pastor Dennis Hudson at Holy Trinity M.B. Church in Greenville, Mississippi where he also received his calling and began his journey in ministry which prepared his pastoral foundation. Rev. Jackson served as an Associate Minister at the historic Church of GOD of Prophesy in Dubbs, Mississippi under the leadership of Bishop K.C. Turner. After his training there, Rev. Jackson was blessed, through Christ, to start a covenant partnership with Apostle Tommy L. Benson who currently has the task of the “Pastor’s Pastor”. In early 2008, sensing a new call of God on his life, Pastor Jackson accepted the senior pastorate of Vessels of Mercy North in Southaven, Mississippi, and there began his current assignment in August 2008.

Pastor Jackson received his B.S. in Criminal Justice at Mississippi Valley State University. During his matriculation at "the Valley," he was inducted as a Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and named Dean of Pledges. He served as a military officer in the Mississippi National Guard for 10 years while pursued a successful Law-Enforcement career being awarded the “Top Cop” award from MDCC Police Academy. After starting seminary, at Exodus School of the Bible, Rev. Jackson journeyed back home to Tunica, Mississippi to pursue a full-time military career. While not completing the program due to his move he maintains a high level of academic commitment to research and teaching.

Rev. Jackson continues to serve his community by volunteering at the schools and recreational center in his home town where he and his family resides. This man is constantly giving his time, advice, and efforts to help those who are in physical and spiritual distress. He is a natural giver from the heart and believes that “giving” is one of the most dynamic gifts God gives because God himself “gave” His only begotten son (Jesus Christ) that we all might be saved.

His passion for wisdom, knowledge, and rightly dividing God’s Word of Truth led him to birth Mercy University Mini Bible College. January 1, 2009 VOM North embarked upon a life changing, challenging journey into knowing the Lord and His will for His people. This extraordinary visionary has gone above and beyond the call of duty and continues to seek new heights by sharing the vision God has given him of righteous living to the people of North Mississippi and all over the world.

He and Zenobia are the proud parents of 3 sons: Anthony Jr., Zacchaeus, and Keenan.
